About the Park
Pond Meadow Park’s 320 acres include a wide variety of habitats; meadow, woodlands, marsh, a 20-acre pond, and Smelt Brook and its tributaries. These habitats support and abundance of divers plant, animal and bird life, as well as a haven for migrating birds. In this densely populated area, Pond Meadow Park provides a place for people of all ages to enjoy and appreciate nature’s beauty.
Pond Meadow has facilities for passive recreation use, that is fishing, hiking, non-motor boating, picnicking, scout camping, ad horseback riding (bring your own horse!). Biking, jogging and walking are popular on our two-mile paved bike path. Winter activities consist of cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, skating and ice fishing.
